My husband always laughs at me for being impressed by the little things, or even for noticing them. For example, a beautiful tree or something as odd as how the power plant looks pretty against the sunset. He says, "you must lead a pretty dull life to be impressed by those small things" i always retort back with "you must lead a pretty dull life not to notice the little things" While i know he is kidding, it is very easy to go through life and miss out on the little things. it is the little things that can bring the most joy. slow seasons in photography always get you a little panicky and make you second guess your abilities. i have been struggling the past few months with that and really been trying to place it in God's hands. this past week i have received so many unsolicited compliments on my work and it has truly made my heart full. i know it is God's way of using the little things like a compliment to tell me it is all alright and i am doing what i should be doing. it also encourages me to make sure i am always giving compliments freely to others so i can offer them the same happiness.
i also have felt truly blessed lately to be surrounded with such great positive friends. we all have different friends for different things, our "go to" friend for advice, an encouragement, a vent session, etc. God has placed some wonderful people in my life and i am truly grateful!
